Here we see one of my earliest acquisitions for my collection. It's Edward Elric, the first figure in the 3-figure set Fullmetal Alchemist Play Arts which was released in 2004.
There was another Play Arts figure of Ed released for the Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood assortment as the debut line of Play Arts Kai in November 2009; but that's not even in par with the sheer epicness of this classic and accurately-scaled (In terms of height that is! ROTFLMAO~) version.
Another thing you'd notice is the custom display stand that I've made for him using Tamashii Stage Act 3 Action Support Type Clear color (by Bandai) with the topmost piece, his insignia, noticeably from the Ensky DX Bust figure [link]
I made the base with a leg-clasper instead of a waist-clasper for two primary reasons:
1. Waist-Clasper type of bases are overused.
2. Leg-Clasper type allows more dynamic poses to be executed especially Ed's signature fighting stances.
